Ken McKibben

Former head of Maintenance for Penske Truck Leasing for over 40 years was responsible for maintenance strategies and actions for over 200,000 vehicles and relationships with over 200 manufacturers. He has been voted Maintenance Man of the Year, Member of ATA, TMC and SAE.

Michael Albert

Mike has over 20 years of Transportation/Logistics experience, and a Vice President of Operations for 15 years with two industry leaders. Mike's accomplishments are: GE-certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Private Equity experience, board room and investor relations, labor relations, strategy creation, contract management and negotiation, and mergers and acquisitions. He has directly managed domestic and international operations. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Management from Susquehanna University. He also is a member of CSCMP, WERC, and IANA.

Andrew Avtjoglou

Andrew has over 30 years experience in finance and process reengineering using Lean concepts to promote cost efficiencies and increase productivity. He retired from Penske Truck Leasing Co. L.P. as Sr. VP and Controller responsible for Global Financial Accounting and Controllership for Truck Leasing and Penske Logistics in U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe and Brazil.

He has joined SSTS as a financial expert and holds the office of Treasurer for SSTS LLC.

Dale Bartley

Dale leverages 15 years of diverse management experience in equipment maintenance, operations, and logistics. Of his career accomplishments, his most recent one involves overseeing the growth of a maintenance organization with 40 pieces of heavy equipment under contract to more than 500 pieces of heavy equipment under contract through the delivery of premiere service. His academic credentials include a BS in Economics from Princeton University and an MBA from the University of Texas.

Ken Claar

Ken has 15 years of experience with HD Engine OEs relating to the testing and development of Diesel engines and held various management positions. For the past 22 years his experience focused on the Field Testing of fuel additives and fully formulated engine and driveline lubricants. Ken is a 21 year member of the Technology & Maintenance Council earning the Silver Spark Plug and Recognized Associate awards. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering (Power and Machinery).

Areas of expertise include: lubricant quality, used lubricant analysis, evaluating oil drain intervals, component wear analysis as a result of lubricants, diesel fuel and fuel additives.

David Hahn

David has 40 years of experience in the trucking industry. Experiences include director level position with a major national fleet, heavy truck dealership fixed operations, and heavy truck OEM field support and product reliability. Developed and implemented programs to increase product reliability, support systems for breakdowns, technical training, shop scheduling and effective preventive maintenance programs. A.A.S. degree in Automotive Technology; B.S. Degree in Industrial Technology. He applies technology advances into real world efficiency, analyzes total life cycle and equipment product life cycle performance. Experience also includes developing written corporate policies and procedures.

Ralph Harney

Ralph has 37 years experience in operations, sales, and marketing, with fleet customers and dealer distribution networks in North America. Former experience and knowledge of class #3 to class #8 power units to include the transport refrigeration industry with refrigerated units, trailers, bodies and related options. Past experience includes: Thermo King Corporation, Hussmann Corporation, Carrier Transicold Corporation, Ryder Truck Rental and Leaseway Transportation.

Areas of expertise include: vehicle spec'ing for low cost per mile and maximum residual value, driver and equipment training for new and existing procedures, product evaluations.

Wayne Lampen

Earned an Associates Engineering Certificate and has over 25 years experience in sales, marketing and trouble shooting skills in the on-highway truck OEM and fleet markets. Active member of the TMC/ATA (Technology & Maintenance Council) and recipient of the Recognized Associate Award in addition to membership in the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). His development and implementation of a "Pull Marketing Strategy and Plan" has gained several fleet specifications for products on new truck orders.

Areas of expertise include: engine cooling systems: radiators, CAC, oil cooler, AC condensers, fan blades, fan clutches and shrouds. First fit applications and after-market replacement parts, hose and fitting installations: coolant, charge air cooling, air, fuel and hydraulic systems, mirror systems: proprietary and traditional truck mirror systems

John Martin

In John's 44 years in the transportation industry, he has spent the better part of those years at Penske Truck Leasing Co. LP, Ryder Transportation Services, Miller Truck Leasing, and FleetNet America. Positions held have been, District Service Manager, Director of Maintenance, Director of Quality Solutions, District Manager, and VP of Operations.

Areas of expertise include: fleet operations / management, shop management, budget control, vendor management, staffing, training, quality solutions, and tire management.

James Mynes

Spent 33 years with major tire manufacturer - primarily in medium commercial and earthmover tires. Assisted in writing and training programs for these lines for this company. While there, spent almost ten years as account executive to a major national fleet working with their management to improve tire costs and another 2 1/2 years as a private full time consultant on tires.

Bruce Purkey

Bruce Purkey, a.k.a. Dr. Electricity from the 1999 Fall TMC Magazine, has come to be known as the "Electrical Expert" in the trucking industry. Ted Raquet

Ted has over forty-five years experience in fleet maintenance and over 18 years of experience with lift gates. That experience can be used by fleets of all sizes to assure they have the correct lift gate that meet their requirements for safe and efficient deliveries. Ted also is a current member of the TMC.

Asa Sharp

Asa has 35 years of experience at Goodyear tire in a variety of Research/Development and Engineering Management position. Experienced in tire failure analysis, FMVSS and BMCSA rules and compliance. Former truck tire OEM marketing manager. Asa also has legal experience, in addition to sales and technician training. A member of TMC/ATA since 1979. BSME, MS, and JD degrees.

Areas of expertise include: truck tire selection, maintenance, performance and failure analysis, including tire related fuel economy, tire pressure monitoring systems (TPM's selection and maintenance), vehicle vibration, tire/wheel assembly, balance, and energy conservation.

Phil Singleton

Phil has 46 years of experience in transportation maintenance. He began his career with an associate's degree from Madison Area Tech College in Wisconsin. After ten years of hands-on and management experience for a regional truck leasing company, Phil transitioned to a national truck load carrier as a regional maintenance manager. During that time, he spearheaded the formation of an engine cost improvement team and negotiated warranty reconciliation with two national manufacturers. The remaining twenty nine years of his career were with Penske Truck Leasing where he progressed from a district service manager to an area maintenance manager in the North Central portion of the US. Phil is also a TCM member

Areas of expertise include: preventative maintenance, vehicle specifications, warranty recovery, tire strategies affecting CPM, and recruiting/mentoring associates for advancement.

Ron Szapacs

Ron has over 40 years experience in transportation maintenance, handling maintenance for Matlack Inc. for 11 years and for Air Products & Chemicals, Inc. for over 34 years. He is also an expert in pressurized trailers. Ron is a member of SAE (26 years), TMC (20 years) and has received the Silver Spark Plug and CCJ Career Leadership awards

Gerald Zampino

Jerry has 45 years experience in maintenance, sales engineering, marketing, working "hands on" with fleet customers and dealer distribution networks. Knowledge of power units, class #3 to class #8, trailers, bodies and related options i.e. lift gates/refrigerated units.
